A Salute to Service: Harvard Veteran Alumni Organization Congressional Reception

Alumni and guests from our whole Harvard alumni community are warmly welcome to join us for this special reception. Twelve Harvard Veterans – Harvard alums who also served in the U.S. military - are Members of the 115th Congress. These individuals demonstrate a commitment to service, and this event highlights that commitment. They have each received a personal invitation to attend, as well as numerous Harvard alum staffers working on the Hill and across the federal government.

Wednesday 5th April | 5:30pm-7.30pm

Rayburn Building - United States Capitol

Enter to grow in wisdom, depart to serve better thy country and thy kind
- inscription on Dexter Gate, Harvard Yard

Military Veterans from all eras continue to serve their communities and nation long after they take off the military uniform. In a recent study by "Got Your 6," Veterans were found to volunteer 25% more than their non-veteran volunteer counterparts. And Veterans are 3 times as likely than non-Veterans to be involved in civic groups. Combine this propensity to service with the call to action inscribed on Dexter Gate in Harvard Yard, and you have a community of Harvard Veterans making a difference across the country.

Thank you to Rep. Seth Moulton (D-MA, MBA/MPP 2011), who helped to secure a spectacular venue in the heart of the U.S. Capitol.

An open bar and hors d'oeuvres are provided. Space is limited. Tickets are transferrable but not refundable. This is a non-partisan event. The Harvard Veteran Alumni Organization is an apolitical organization.
